So many components go into being a successful retailer. The right product, location and store design, visual merchandising, stock replenishment systems, customer experience and digital media presence, building brand awareness and loyalty - and plenty more.
While our core focus here at The Leasing Department is on helping our clients get the leasing component of this formula right, we always consider all other aspects of the retail business to ensure our clients have the best possible chance of being successful and profitable.
#retailersdoingitright is a theme we’re keen to follow, celebrate and draw inspiration from. There are so many great retailers here and around the world doing things right. Whether that involves doing things that are outside the box, or just doing the basics really well to enhance their customers experience and give their brand the edge in an increasingly competitive environment.
We thought we’d kick off with an image of the Marie Claire Up Late festival happening this month in the James Street precinct in Brisbane. An annual campaign, now in its seventh year, the James Street retailers 'go pink’ for one night and stay open for extended hours offering shoppers exclusive discounts and offers from 6 – 8pm as well as access to high profile national and local fashion designers.
This is a great example of retailers coming together to activate and showcase their precinct by staging an event that will generate awareness of the individual retailers involved as well as deliver a wonderful customer experience.
